Tucked away in magical Marblehead harbor on the rugged coast of Massachusetts sits The Barnacle. Perched defiantly above the waves, The Barnacle was founded in 1957 by the aunt of current owner Jay Sahegian. Jay not only owns the restaurant but he is also the main supplier of their world renowned Lobster. Each morning Jay and his deck-hand Morgan (and sometimes his son Carter) head out from the dock just a stones throw from the restaurant and head just outside the jetty to drop their pots and haul in the days catch that is promptly shuttled up the dock and right in the back door of the Barnacle. Jay's commitment to sustainable local seafood is a topical model but one his family has been enforcing and upholding for generations.
