The Salt Flat Rat is the brainchild of Mark Brizlawn, member of the infamous Vancouver, Washington Hot Rod club called the Slo Poks. Deemed the "Brotherhood of Speed" the Slo Poks were founded in 1952 as a club for serious drag racers. Over the year their terms of membership may have broadened but their requirement that members share the love for speed remains. The Salt Flat Rat was built in 2009 as Mark's prefered mode of transportation during his yearly pilgrimage to Speed Week on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Originally a 1934 Ford Coupe, today the Salt Flat Rat is a head turner at the most famous auto event in the universe. I personally broke about ten laws in this machine and can attest to it's handling, personality and overall moxie.
